4 Fun Ways To Celebrate Valentines Day With Your Dog

Updated: Feb 7, 2019

February is full of love and while Valentine's day is typically made for couples there is nothing wrong with showing your pups some love too! I love any excuse to celebrate and I especially love any excuse to spoil my pups. Our dogs make us smile every day and show us so much love I thought it would be fun to do some special things for them this Valentine's day and I'm excited to share them with you!

#1. Frozen Pink Hearts

I'm obsessed with my heart mold from Amazon and we're always freezing something fun for the dogs! These adorable pink frozen heart treats are both festive and easy. Not to mention the dogs go crazy for them!

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

2 Tablespoons Coconut oil

2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt

Water (to get desired consistency)

Blend all ingredients, pour into the mold, and freeze. So easy and so festive!

#2. A Custom Pet Portrait

I adore fun art for my office and it's extra special when it includes my dogs face on it! I recently received this custom pet portrait of my Oscar on canvas and it is so stinkin' adorable. It would also make such a fun gift for the dog lover in your life! The best part? Each purchase supports local animal shelters! Get yours here: www.12past7.com

#3. Frozen Kong Treats

If you haven't caught on yet the way to my dog's hearts is through their bellies! These frozen kong treats are delicious and great for those long winter days stuck inside. I fill ours with peanut butter, blueberries, and some frozen yogurt. It is a more affordable alternative to bones and the dogs enjoy them so much.

#4. Banana Pancakes Breakfast

Who doesn't love banana pancakes? It's a snowstorm here today which is perfect for trying a new recipe. My taste testers approved and my house smells ah-mazing!

1 cup Oats

1 Banana

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 egg

1 1/2 cups milk (I used almond)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup coconut flour

frozen blueberries

Blend all ingredients together to make the pancake batter. If you notice its too thin add more flour or if its too thick add more milk!

Dogs make the best valentine! These fun ways to spoil your dog are sure to make some tails wag. Hope your day is filled with love and puppy kisses and be sure to check back for some more fun ideas to come!
